Permanent Makeup is a form of cosmetic tattoo that uses precise techniques to implant pigments into the dermal layer of the skin. Typically used for enhancing or correcting certain features that alternatively would be done with regular makeup products. When done, the results are more natural looking then topically applied cosmetics.
Permanent Makeup is a machine applied technique using a brand new needle to deposit pigments into the second layer of skin. All pigments used are exclusively made for permanent makeup.
What is Ombre Shading? Using a machine to shade or “powder” in the eyebrows as you would if filling it in with powdered makeup and blending the colour gradually lighter as you go towards the nose or head of brow.
What is Combo Brows? Combining machine and microblading techniques to create individualized brows for each client.
When first applied, the pigment will initially be 10 to 40% stronger in colour but will soften to a natural, beautiful enhancement. An epithelial crust will form and gently fall off over 3 to 7 days. During the healing process, the colour may seem to disappear as it is obscured by the healing skin. The true colour will not come through until up to 4 weeks from initial treatment. The healing time is different for each individual and procedure. Under no circumstances should you have further permanent makeup work on the same treated area until after 6 weeks.
Your health and well being is top priority at The Brow Loft. The treatment room is sanitized before and after all appointments. All machines are disinfected before and after every procedure. The machine, hand piece and cord is also wrapped in plastic during treatment. A new, disposable cartridge needle will be use during your treatment and is disposed of afterwards in a Medical Sharps Container. All other products used are disposed of after procedure is complete.
A consultation appointment is mandatory prior to a first application appointment or if you have had any permanent makeup done by another artist. Consultation appointments are free of charge. Please not that any missed consultation appointments will result in a $35 fee added to your account. The consultation appointment does consist of discussing what permanent makeup is, the application process, healing stages and any questions you might have. If you are from out of town, then a consultation will be scheduled over the phone.
Each application of permanent makeup can take is 3 to 4 hours long. Please do not schedule another appointment directly after the service so the Artist does not feel rushed. Everything will be explained step by step to ensure you understand the procedure and aftercare.
With any permanent makeup, a touch up is required in 6 to 8 weeks after the first application to complete the look. The touch up application will boost the colour and give a perfect finish. The cost of a touch up is not including in initial pricing. Once the desired look is completed, permanent makeup can last up to 3 to 4 years. The long lasting results will depend on skin type and life style.
A $100 deposit is required upon booking a permanent makeup appointment and is non refundable. Please give 48 hours notice to cancel any appointments. If notice is not given and an appointment is missed, the deposit will not be used towards the first permanent makeup application and a fee of 50% of the missed service will be required to be paid. In the event of an appointment(s) missed that did not have a deposit, will result in a fee of 50% of the total service cost that will be required to be paid before any further appointments can be booked
Are results guaranteed?
Permanent Makeup is an art form not an exact science therefor healed results can vary with each person. Various factors affect healed results so there are no guarantees in this industry about how your brows, lips and/or eyeliner will retain the pigment. With a few cases, some clients do need additional sessions for the best results (at an additional charge). Please have realistic expectations and read all information provided to make sure permanent makeup or microblading is a good fit for you.
