Permanent Eyeliner
WHAT IS PERMANENT EYELINER?
Permanent Eyeliner is a type of cosmetic tattoo that places pigment in the skin (with a cartridge needle) along the top of the eyelashes to define the eyes and gives an illusion of a thicker, darker and fuller lashes.

Permanent Eyeliner will enhance the colour, size and shape of your eyes. The line can be as fine or thick as the client desires and can also be created with a winged tail. It is the perfect solution for anyone with allergies, contact lens sensitivity, dexterity issues, vision problems or an active lifestyle..

The initial treatment will be followed with a touch up 6 to 8 weeks later. It is recommended to do a maintenance treatment after one year to ensure the freshness of the colour and shape but you can expect the enhancement to last from 1-3 years before a colour boost is required.

A thirty minute consultation appointment is mandatory prior to booking a first application. If you have permanent makeup done by another artist, an in-person consultation is also mandatory.
If you prefer your eyeliner to be a certain shape, style or colour, please come with some reference photos to this appointment.

When first applied, the pigment will initially be 10 to 40% stronger in colour but will soften to a natural, beautiful enhancement.
An epithelial crust will form and gently fall off over 3 to 7 days. During the healing process, the colour may seem to disappear as it is obscured by the healing skin. The true colour will not come through until up to 4 weeks from initial treatment.
The healing time is different for each individual and procedure. Under no circumstances should you have further permanent makeup work on the same treated area until after 6 weeks.
Your health and well being is top priority at The Brow Loft. The treatment room is sanitized before and after all appointments. All machines are disinfected before and after every procedure. The machine, hand piece and cord is also wrapped in plastic during treatment.
A new, disposable cartridge needle will be use during your treatment and is disposed of afterwards in a Medical Sharps Container. All other products used are disposed of after procedure is complete.

Each application of permanent makeup can take is 2 to 4 hours long. Please do not schedule another appointment directly after the service so the Artist does not feel rushed. Everything will be explained step by step to ensure you understand the procedure and aftercare.
With any permanent makeup, a touch up is required in 6 to 8 weeks after the first application to complete the look. The touch up application will boost the colour and give a perfect finish. The cost of a touch up is not including in initial pricing. Once the desired look is completed, permanent makeup can last up to 1 to 3 years. The long lasting results will depend on skin type and life style.

Everyone's skin heals differently and most clients develop patchy areas or the appearance of fading after the first application.
There is minimal downtime associated with this treatment. Clients can experience redness and swelling that lasts 1 to 2 days.
It is important to understand that this is a two part process and a touch up application is needed to complete the eyeliner. Depending on the eyeliner and client's skin, an additional touch up (not included) can sometimes be needed.
Please be patient.
